New Fate Extra/Record Trailer Revealed at Art Exhibit, Not Yet Officially Shared Online; “20XX” Release Window + More Info

An official Fate/Extra-themed art exhibit is currently occurring at Tokyo on the Matsuya Department Store in Ginza on its 8th floor. Several stellar illustrations are being showcased throughout this venue, but a few significant discoveries have also been made.

Venue attendee @exceddius has revealed that there are three new videos about the upcoming Type-MOON BB- developed turn-based RPG, Fate Extra/Record. For those unaware, this title is set to be a remake of the original PSP title, Fate/Extra. The new videos comprise the game’s 3D character models, facial animations, and a brand new trailer. Unfortunately, there is no release date confirmed, with the only given window being “20XX.”

Additionally, prominent Type-MOON community member @KaroshiMyriad has shared a summation of statements from director Kazuya Niino. Essentially, he was hesitant about revealing new information for Fate Extra/Record since there is no publisher set in stone yet, or even a release date. Still, it was ultimately decided for this elusive new trailer to be shared.

Further, the project has faced “significant changes in the development environment and partner companies.” As a result, progress was halted for roughly a year, but work is still ongoing despite these setbacks. Hopefully, this new trailer and other Fate/Extra Record videos will be officially shared online soon because news has been quite scarce for a while.

In other news, one of the primary heroines and Servants of Fate/Extra, Nero Claudius, is receiving a new figure from Aniplex based on her depiction by Wada Acro. However, the figure’s appearance, expected shipment times, and pricing details have not yet been revealed.

Moreover, the anime adaption of Fate/Extra, Fate/Extra: Last Encore, shall receive a physical Blu-Ray release in Japan on December 14, 2022, alongside a release of its original soundtrack. Thanks to @KaroshiMyriad for sharing this notable information.

Lastly, a new official video was published showcasing the gorgeous art exhibit venue with narration by the Japanese voice actress of Nero Claudius, Sakura Tange:
