Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 Announced, October 2022 Japan Release; Over 50 Games Planned
Sega has announced that the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 will be launching in Japan on October 27, 2022, for ¥9,980. Sega CD titles will also be included. Over 50 games will be confirmed for the device, with 720p and 480p outputted resolution options.
Regarding additions, a Mega Drive Tower Mini 2 will be available separately for ¥4,500 and will include the following (thanks, Gematsu):
- SEGA Mega CD 2 Mini
- Mini cartridge for Genesis
- Mega Drive title Virtua Racing
- Mini disc for SEGA
- Mega CD title Sonic the Hedgehog CD
- Mega Drive Mini mounting spacer
- Super 32X Mini mounting spacer
Further, Fighting Pad 6B controllers will also be separately purchasable for ¥2,500.
