Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 Gameplay Trailer Highlights Updated Soul Cannon and Managarm Used to Hopefully Not Sacrifice a Crew Member

CyberConnect2 revealed new details for their upcoming RPG Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Windows Store, and Epic Games Store) on May 11, 2023. Xbox Game Pass users will also be able to play the game as part of their subscription plan.

The developers shared information on the Soul Cannon, used to sacrifice a member of the crew who will be randomly selected by the AI known as Hax. This is a powerful weapon that will ultimately change the tide of battles depending on who you sacrifice.

However, the Mangarm system is here as a safety net. Players can utilize this weapon that uses a small amount of a child’s life but can only be used once per battle. Further, the selected child will be temporarily knocked out until they recover during intermission.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 takes place one year after the previous game. Though the children had celebrated their victory, the war didn’t end. Half of the original crew is trapped within the Taranis, and it goes on a rampage spreading destruction all over. Now the ones left behind will join Vanilla, the daughter of Gasco, and board its counterpart, the tank Tarascus to avoid even more tragedy and save their friends.
