Project: Mara Revealed as Ninja Theory’s Newest Title

Project: Mara, is Ninja Theory’s new announcement. It’s still in an early stage, and as the studio itself said, it is a experimental title, that we can only assume as a temporary name, or even in concept.

Ninja Theory is most known for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice released in 2017, but the English studio goes all the way back to 2007, 10 years prior, to another successful and interesting game: Heavenly Sword.

It’s no surprise Microsoft acquired Ninja Theory, which are now part of the Xbox Game Studios family. Bleeding Edge is their upcoming title, a PvP colorful and interesting online-action game, but it’s also known that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is currently being developed.

Project: Mara dwells into the human mind, and the horrors of death from a scientific point of view. The studio promises an innovative story, one that aims to portray a new step on how games express their way into those playing.

It seems more and more projects are being revealed for Xbox Series X. The Console is set to release for holiday 2020. I’m sure we’ll hear of more projects soon.
