WHITE ALBUM: Memories like Falling Snow Coming West This Year

Shiravune has announced the western release of WHITE ALBUM: Memories like Falling Snow. The classic visual novel was originally developed by Aquaplus’ erotic branch Leaf in 1998, later receiving an enhanced edition without the sex scenes in 2011 called White Album: Tsuzurareru Fuyu no Omoide, which is the basis for this release. It will be available on Steam in the third quarter of 2023.

WHITE ALBUM tells the story of a college student called Toya Fuji. Though he’s a very ordinary young man, he has a popular singer called Yuki Morikawa as his girlfriend. As she gets more popular and more distant, the game focuses on the poignant story about the couple’s love within those circumstances and how they may stick together or drift apart.

Besides the conversations, the game features a map system so players can choose where to go and who to see. Interactions may affect the player stats as well, giving it a simulator aspect. Besides the announcement, Shiravune has shared a few screenshots of the game:

Its two-part sequel, White Album 2, is one of the most highly regarded dramatic visual novels of all time, so we can’t help but hope this announcement also means a chance for that game to receive an official English version. We’ll be sure to let you know as Shiravune shares more info on WHITE ALBUM: Memories like Falling Snow and their other upcoming games.
