Urban Open-World RPG ‘Project Mugen’ Announced for PS5, PC & Mobile by NetEase; Info Drop Next Week

A new urban open-world RPG has been announced by publisher NetEase Games and developer Naked Rain of the former’s subsidiary Thunder Fire Studio, titled Project Mugen. Details on the project are quite scarce, but it is planned to launch for PlayStation 5, PC, mobile devices via iOS and Android, and even the Cloud.

The game does have an official website and Twitter account, but a seemingly sizeable information drop is planned for August 23, 2023, at 7 PM PT/ 10 PM ET.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the game’s website features Chinese and Japanese audio, with a few voice lines provided if you click on the characters on-screen. English subtitles are also present, so we can expect some sort of worldwide release. It seems likely it’ll be a gacha, too.

We’ll keep you all updated on this intriguing project. Thanks to Gematsu and ResetEra for sharing this news.
