Honkai Star Rail ‘Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins’ Version Update Releasing Late August

During the Honkai Star Rail Special Program, developer HoYoverse has announced the latest information regarding the third Version Update that will be coming to Honkai Star Rail. The update, titled Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins will be releasing on August 30, 2023, and will feature a brand-new area, as well as new Story Quests and Companion Missions, and three new characters.

After Jing Yuan and Dan Heng united to vanquish Phantylia and resolve the Ambrosial Arbor crisis, both of them do their best to help people get their lives back on track, as well as help with tending to the aftermath of the fight. In this update, a brand-new area called Aurum Alley emerges, eagerly awaiting a much-needed revitalization.

Meanwhile, Herta’s renowned Simulated Universe undergoes a remarkable upgrade in the “Simulated Universe: The Swarm Disaster” event. The name comes from a swarm catastrophe from ages ago that Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of Propagation, caused. To uncover the intricate history and the confrontation between Tayzzyronth and other Aeons, players will navigate through dynamically generated domains, face various challenges along the way, and unlock the new Path of Propagation within the Simulated Universe.

Next up, three characters will be introduced in Version 1.3. The first is Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, a 5-Star Imaginary character that follows the path of Destruction. After inheriting the title that was passed down from his previous incarnation, Imbibitor Lunae displays a unique specialty where he can consume multiple Skill Points to unleash powerful abilities.

He is capable of enhancing his basic attack up to three consecutive times, and depending on how many times you charge his attack, it can transform into different forms. Furthermore, when unleashing his Ultimate, he’ll deal Imaginary damage to a single target and any adjacent enemies, while also receiving a fixed amount of Squama Sacrosancta to offset the consumption of Skill Points.

Next up we have Fu Xuan, the Master Diviner of the Xianzhou Luofu’s Divination Commission. She is a 5-Star Quantum character that follows the path of Preservation. Her skills allow for damage reduction and health points reversal via her Talent, absorbing damages for her allies via Skill, and unleashing Quantum damage upon all enemies via her Ultimate. As an ambitious woman, her personality and battle style are different from Jing Yuan’s, but being a defensive backbone for her team is equally respectable.

Last, but not least, we Lynx, an endearing character from the noble Landau family. She is a 4-star Quantum-Type character following the Path of Abundance. Growing up, Lynx became enthralled by the centuries-old records depicting Jarilo-VI’s lively history, the mesmerizing tales of beautiful auroras narrated by her teachers, and the heroic legends surrounding her Landau family. She brings versatile array of healing abilities to her team, letting everyone breath a little easier during the intergalactic journey.

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae will be available in the “Epochal Spectrum” Character Warp event, which will occur in the first half of Version 1.3. After his banner ends, Fu Xuan will become available on the Foreseen, Foreknown, Foretold Warp event on the second half of the update. Lynx will also debut at that same time as Fu Xuan.

In order to know more about these characters, the developers have announced that four new Companion Missions will be added to the game. A new Stagnant Shadow will also be available to fight. In addition, to celebrate the release of Version 1.3, a Gift of Odyssey Login Bonus will be given, granting players a total of 10 Star Rail Passes.

Furthermore, several gameplay optimizations will be added, including the increase of the Trailblazer Power cap from 160 to 240, as well as the addition of Reverse Trailblazer Power, which is a small percentage that is stored after you reach the maximum cap. The Chat system will also allow the use of special emotes.

Honkai: Star Rail is a space fantasy RPG title with a journey through immense worlds of the unknown. The game features fantasy elements with myths and legends integrated into the space sci-fi story. Combined with the intuitive turn-based combat system, large maps with maze exploration and immersive storylines that together compose an interstellar melody filled with surprises and rewarding experiences that echo throughout the universe!

Implanted with a Stellaron, the protagonist bravely sets sail for the galaxy to drill down to the truth revolving around the so-called Cancer of All Worlds. Players will be able to experience a vast universe abundant in distinctive cultures, landscapes, and scenery. From the Herta Space Station, where the knowledge reserve of the universe and the forthcoming journey has been granted, to Jarilo-VI, where numerous dangers and conflicts are frozen beneath the snow, to Xianzhou Luofu, the silkpunk flagship infused with eastern fantasy where development and dispute are focusing on the topic of immortality.

Honkai: Star Rail can be downloaded from the official website, App Store and Google Play. A PlayStation version will be coming soon on Q4 2023.
