Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #90 Showcases Intermediary Spirit Loa

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 90th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Loa, an intermediary spirit in Haitian mythology standing between humanity and gods. Each Loa is notably distinct from each other, having unique appreciations and dislikes for various aspects of life as well as individualized methods of service.

Loa wields Poison Breath, Poison Needle, and Mamudo, showing a clear affinity for the poison status ailment while dabbling in darkness. Loa has appeared in some Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games, though it isn’t quite on the level of being an iconic mainstay.

Atlus has announced that they will be now be uploading 2 Daily Demon videos daily until Shin Megami Tensei V releases.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to this former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
