Tokyo RPG Factory Developed ‘Oninaki’ Gets New Gameplay Trailer and Character Details

Square Enix released a new gameplay trailer for the Tokyo RPG Factory developed adventure RPG Oninaki, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam this summer.

The publisher released a new gameplay trailer showing the characters that players will get to know throughout the game. The story will follow Kagachi, a young Watcher who embodies the tenets of reincarnation, and who has a sacred duty to usher Lost Souls into the next world. During his adventure, he meets Linne, a mysterious young girl with no memory of her past. His fate ends up becoming entwined with blood and death following their meeting. Additionally, players are introduced to Kushi and Mayura, both who are Watchers, and the Night Devil, a swordsman from a forgotten time who is hunting Linne.

The publisher also released new screenshots showing characters, towns, and battles that players will get to explore more during the game. However, leading up to the game’s launch we can probably expect more details on characters as well as new information on the game’s unique battle system.

Oninaki is developed by the same team who worked on I am Setsuna, a turn-based RPG that mimics classic genre entries.
