Otome Title ‘The Crimson Flower That Divides: Lunar Coupling’ Announced for Switch & PC 2023; English Support

Publisher dramatic create and developer Operetta Due have announced that their Koezaru wa Akai Hana otome game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Spring 2023 as The Crimson Flower That Divides: Lunar Coupling, with English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language support planned.

It should be noted, however, that because this is a direct port of the PS Vita release, it’s a slightly “toned-down” version compared to the Japanese PC release one that was released originally in 2012, which attained a CERO Z (18+) rating. Still, this version does feature new episodes depicted from the perspectives of the romanceable characters and after stories for each of the eight romanceable characters, both of which include new CG illustrations.

According to the Visual Novel Database, the game’s story is as follows:

A land where women are scarce due to a fatal disease.

Naala, a girl who lives in the southern country Ruse, lost her only blood relative at a young age when her mother was stolen away by the Northern country Nasula. The one who supported her was her adored “older brother” and childhood friend Olli, who was to be the next king. Several years after that nightmarish night, Naala has been adopted by the royal family, and had begun passing her days peacefully as Olli’s fiancé.

However, the nightmare returns with an attack by Nasula’s army to steal women. The time for a decision approaches. Is being captured a future of subordination, or…
