Momentum-Based Racer ‘Phantom Spark’ Announced for PC & Switch

Thunderful Games, Coatsink, and Ghosts have announced their momentum-based, time-trial racer, Phantom Spark, planned to launch for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam at an unknown time.

Players can anticipate rollercoaster-like levels with a full single-player campaign and competition via local split-screen and online asynchronous multiplayer. In the single-player mode, players will race the guardians of each track in one-on-one races to make links, unlock new levels, and gain new ships with cosmetic alterations.

Momentum is a focus here, with an intuitive but difficult-to-master gameplay system. There are also online leaderboards, with users able to race past other players’ ghosts across over 30 tracks.

Torfi Asgeirsson, co-founder of Ghosts, shared the following statement regarding this announcement:

“It’s so exciting to finally be able to share Phantom Spark with the world. This is just the first-step and we can’t wait to share more in the future and get people to feel the thrilling sense of momentum that the game offers when they eventually get their hands on it!”
