PlayStation Version of Martha is Dead to be Censored; Physical Version Delayed

Today, an official Twitter post by Wired Productions announced some updates regarding the PlayStation release of their upcoming game, Martha is Dead.

Martha is Dead is a first-person psychological horror game that takes place in the Italian countryside while the Allied and Axis forces battle it out. A young woman named Martha has drowned in a nearby lake, and her body lies on the shores. Dealing with this loss, Martha’s twin sister must not only endure the grief of having lost a loved one but must also face the horrors of war head-on.

Unfortunately, due to potentially discomforting scenes and themes of the game, some content on the PlayStation release will need to be modified and cut from the full release. The developers now need more time to make these unplanned changes, but the game will not be delayed digitally.

The PC and Xbox versions of the game are unaffected and will launch with all the original content as planned. However, due to the PlayStation situation, the physical retail release date is delayed to an unannounced date but will still contain bonus content, a double-sided poster, digital tarot cards, and the digital soundtrack. Wired Productions will update players as soon as more information is released.

Martha is Dead is still releasing on February 24, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X digitally.’
