Survival Horror ‘Tormented Souls II’ Revealed in New Trailer; Same Protagonist, New Horrors

Pqube announced they will publish the Dual Effect-developed survival horror Tormented Souls II on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam for a 2024 launch.

Tormented Souls II sees the return of protagonist Caroline Walker, who is trying to live a normal life with her sister, Anna. However, Anna is suffering from a mysterious affliction that has her coughing up blood, which causes Caroline to return to the supernatural nightmare once again.

The game takes place in Puerto Miller, an isolated community in South America with a troubling history that was established many ages ago by the reclusive Ismuit tribe, a lesser-known religious group that avoided interaction with the external world. However, beneath the deteriorating exterior of the town, an age-old and indescribable terror is concealed. Accompany Caroline as she navigates the dim passages of a notorious monastery, inadvertently entering unsettling places that appear to belong to an alternate realm of nightmares.

The game will feature enhanced survival horror systems where players must manage resources and fight against deadly creatures. Further, new puzzles will hinder progression. Players will need to use their wits to get through sections of the game, which generally require some item manipulation.
