Assassin’s Creed Mirage Shares New Story Trailer

During Gamescom 2023, Ubisoft revealed a new story trailer for their upcoming stealth action-adventure game Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Players can grasp more of the title’s intended tone with full Arabic voice work in this classic region.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage brings the series back to its roots, where players will experience a more linear and story-focused adventure. The game is set in ninth-century Baghdad, where players will follow Basim Ibn Ishaq, a thief who joins the cause’s fight against a growing threat. Further, the title occurs roughly 300 years before the events of the first Assassin’s Creed, which focused on the life of Altair.

The staff previously discussed their narrative and gameplay design with this entry, highlighting how it’s really taking the series back to its origins in several ways, including implementing a nostalgic visual filter comprising a desaturated blue-gray color palette from the first game in the franchise.

Moreover, the team’s approach this time around is heavily inspired by the popular Ezio trilogy, with an emphasis on verticality, flow, and momentum.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 5, 2023.
