Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster Announced for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC

Nightdive Studios recently announced that they are currently working on a Remaster of the classic Star Wars: Dark Forces, the first story in the life of Kyle Katarn. This will mark the first time the game will be making the jump to modern consoles. The title, however, has been playable before on PlayStation Systems.

Little has been announced on the title just yet, but Nightdive Studios assures us to be on the lookout for an announcement on the release date late this year.

In case you missed it, you can find the tweet down below.

Star Wars: Dark Forces is a first-person shooter originally released on MS-DOS and Macintosh Computers in 1995. Players will take the role of Kyle Katarn a force-sensitive human who has infiltrated the Empire to steal the Death Star Plans. Players will need to blast their way through numerous Storm Troopers to survive in a style reminiscent of the Doom series.

Star Wars: Dark Forces will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The release date will be announced at a later date.
