Fire Emblem Engage Sells 1.61 Million Units Worldwide; Over 1 Million Sold Outside Japan

Nintendo has released its Financial Results Explanatory Material for the Fiscal Year Ended March 2023, revealing several sales figures for Switch software and hardware. And while most of these updates are relatively minor compared with what we’ve known, perhaps the most significant development regards Fire Emblem.

The latest entry in the Fire Emblem franchise, Fire Emblem Engage, has been confirmed to have sold over 1.61 million units worldwide. Additionally, 430,000 sales occurred in Japan, with 1.18 million units sold overseas.

This news is immensely noteworthy since Fire Emblem Engage was only launched earlier this year. Of course, the series has been prospering since the unprecedented success of Fire Emblem Awakening on the 3DS. Still, it’s been neat to see faster and more large-scale growth since.
